The Lakes Gas management team has implemented a plan for continuity of operations and contingency preparation during the health emergency declared by the state and federal governments.

Our overriding concern is for the health and safety of our employees, customers and communities. We also want to ensure a continued supply of propane to our customers.

Our branch locations will be manned but will not be accepting walk-in traffic at this time. If you need to make a payment, we encourage you to pay by credit card instead of check or cash when possible. If you need to pay by check or cash, a drop box is located at most of our branches, and there will be a sign at the office directing you. You may leave payment at your delivery location according to your normal practice; please contact your branch to inform them that you did so. You may also pay online at www.lakesgas.com.

Our local offices will be accepting telephone calls, although we may experience higher-than-normal call volume. You may also email your local branch at the address shown on our website.

Lakes Gas has secured more propane to ensure continued availability to you. We do not anticipate product shortages or interruptions in your supply.

The Lakes Gas Branch Manager needs to be motivated, self-disciplined to take initiative, manage time well, respond to corporate directives and have the ability to efficiently prioritize the workflow of the branch. Our Branch Managers need to be D.O.T. qualified, as well.

This position reports directly to the District Manager for the area.

Lakes Gas Co. Driver / Service technician's primary responsibilities include delivery of propane and servicing propane systems. Additional responsibilities include: Inspection, installation and service of propane containers and appliances, including Gas System Safety Inspections, for commercial and residential accounts. Because of the daily interaction with Lakes Gas customers, the Driver Tech will need to be capable of professional, courteous customer service at all times. Duties may include propane and propane system sales, maintenance and inspection of company properties and basic maintenance of branch vehicles. This is a DOT regulated position that complies with drug and alcohol policies and procedures.

Lakes Gas Co. Driver's primary responsibilities include customer service and the delivery of propane fuel to commercial accounts and residential homes. Additional responsibilities include propane and propane system sales and the maintenance and inspection of company properties. This is a DOT regulated position that complies with drug and alcohol policies and procedures. The driver must to possess, or is capable of attaining, a minimum of a class B commercial driver's license with tanker and hazardous endorsements. He/she must also carry a DOT medical examiner's certificate. Candidate needs to be safety conscious, have a strong mechanical aptitude, good math skills, and possess driving skills. The driver will be working in extreme weather conditions and will be subject to on-call status on a rotating basis. Position entails pulling a delivery hose, some heavy lifting and climbing in and out of the fuel truck.

Lakes Gas Co. Customer Service Representative's (CSR) primary responsibilities include courteous and professional interaction with customers both in person and on the phone; selling propane and propane products; and maintaining customer accounts. Additional responsibilities include: bookkeeping, accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as managing the debt collection process. The CSR needs to be safety-conscious, have good math skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
