The Lakes Gas management team has implemented a plan for continuity of operations and contingency preparation during the health emergency declared by the state and federal governments.

Our overriding concern is for the health and safety of our employees, customers and communities. We also want to ensure a continued supply of propane to our customers.

Our branch locations will be manned but will not be accepting walk-in traffic at this time. If you need to make a payment, we encourage you to pay by credit card instead of check or cash when possible. If you need to pay by check or cash, a drop box is located at most of our branches, and there will be a sign at the office directing you. You may leave payment at your delivery location according to your normal practice; please contact your branch to inform them that you did so. You may also pay online at

Our local offices will be accepting telephone calls, although we may experience higher-than-normal call volume. You may also email your local branch at the address shown on our website.

Lakes Gas has secured more propane to ensure continued availability to you. We do not anticipate product shortages or interruptions in your supply.

We appreciate your business. Thank you for following these policies during this unusual time. We will keep you updated on our website at

It's All Taken Care Of
One of the main concerns people have with propane is running out. Our delivery options ensure you have the flexibility to get the propane you need when you want it.

What are my delivery options?

Automatic Propane Delivery
With Automatic Delivery, you won't have to keep an eye on your tank. We'll do it for you. We track your consumption via our computer system using "heating degree days." The "heating degree day" is simply the demand for energy to heat your home daily, determined by the average of the day's high and low temperatures. So when the system identifies you are getting low, we'll automatically schedule a delivery to your home. This greatly reduces your chances of running out of propane.

Will-Call Propane Delivery
With Will-Call Delivery, you watch your own tank and when it reads 30%, you call or go on line to schedule a delivery when you need it. We'll be out to deliver your propane within a 5-business-day window.

For purchasing options, see our Buying Programs.

Can I skip a propane delivery?

Yes. If you're on the Automatic Delivery plan, just give us a call and let us know not to deliver when your ticket comes up. We will coordinate with you for when you do want us to deliver your next load of propane. If you're a Will-Call customer, it's even easier: Just give us a call when you're ready to order again.

When should I order more propane?

Lakes Gas Co. requires a five-day notice for propane deliveries. We advise customers to give us a call when they reach about 30 percent, which ensures we'll have your next delivery to you before you run out.

What if I need my propane sooner than five days?

Lakes Gas Co. wants to make sure you always have the propane you need. We offer short-notice deliveries in emergency situations but there may be additional delivery charges associated with after-hours or weekend deliveries. Please note additional applicable charges.
